Ingredients: Camellia Sinensis var. Assamica
Harvest: Spring 2019
Origin: Pu Er, Simao, Yunnan, China
Tasting notes: malt, cocoa, caramel, wheat, flowers
This tea is harvested in pairs of one leaf and one bud, from endemic large-leaf trees (Da Ye Zhong), grown in the Zhenyuan Mountains of Yunnan. Through traditional processing, the leaves turn dark and the buds golden. It ages beautifully, with obvious differences in the first two years. A heavy black tea, not bitter, tasty and easy to infuse. A very good 'specialty daily drinker'
